I totally didn't even know American Idol had added a new judge to the panel to aid flabby, box hair, and drunk in their criticism of music hopefuls. Upon hearing this news, I HAD to look up all the info about this fabled 4th as I possibly could...and to my surprise she does not appear to be the hot mess I envisioned. She's getting some press and a little name recognition. Good for her.
So of course my favorite train wreck ever Paula Abdrunk needs that lime back on her. She told OK magazine that she and Kara DioGuardi get along great, but "bringing on 4th judge, was a big mistake this season."
Now Kara has fired back cried like a baby saying "“Paula has a right to her opinions, but I was disappointed by her comments, and hurt that she did not address them to me in person.”
Of course Paula's Publicist is claiming that drunk's words were taken out of context.
Does anyone even still care about this show? Seriously. I wanna know.
I do not watch "Dancing With The Stars". Never been interested, had better things to do like feed my cat, dust my china, do kart-wheels in my living room...you know ANYTHING ELSE. Anyway, I actually considered watching an episode of the garbage this season because one of my favorite guilty pleasures was slated to be one of the competitors. Jewel. (JEWEL. How the hell did they land her?! I thought that show was for fame whores and has beens...Jewel's fame has faded in the last few years, but she is still a name that has instant recognition. That, my children, is still having some star power.)
Well, maybe they don't have Jewel after all. (A sigh of relief from me and many other devoted fans resonated across the nation) Jewel has apparently been experiencing pain, particularly in her left knee and had to seek medical attention. The Doc's verdict came in and it's tendinitis, she's taking meds and resting that knee. Maybe this is a sign Jewel, maybe the cosmos is telling you DON'T GO ON DANCING WITH THE STARS. It's career suicide. No one watches it. It's ridiculous. Please don't subject your fans to seeing you in sequins.
....Just sayin'.

Looks like Amy Winehouse is on her way back to Londontown from St. Lucas Island to wrap up that Black Civil-Feder nastiness that has been following her around like a dark cloud. A source has reported "She’ll be back to form a battle plan. Amy wants nothing more to do with husband Blake (Fielder Civil). She’s sick of him harassing her so she wants out of the country (St. Lucia) ASAP.”
We've also been hearing that both Amy and Blake will be presenting all kinds of dirt on one another to the divorce judge. Oh, the drama that's a comin'. We can hardly contain ourselves!
I have been this album's arrival for MONTHS. I am so happy to report it was well worth the wait. Lily Allen's sophomore effort "It's Not Me, It's You" is as humorous and quirky as her first. Although more polished, a little less indie rock sounding, and a bit more grown up, Lily's brutal honesty is still in the forefront.
There isn't a single song on the album that I didn't like...this is a very rare occurrence. Kudos Miss Allen. Here are some of the high points of the album:
"Everyone's At It" asks point blank how people can be so blind to their own addictions as they look down their noses at others' problems. She's absolutely right, when will we admit to ourselves that everyone's at it? I love the line "I'm not trying to say that I'm smelling of roses, but when will tire of putting shit up our noses?" It's a painfully honest song placed over a upbeat pop melody...and it makes me wonder if I'm a bad person for fighting back a smile and the urge to dance around my living room when I turn this track on. Brilliant job Lily.
"The Fear" BY FAR my favorite track of the album. I love that Lily is so unafraid to just put it out there for all of us to listen to. "I want to be rich and I want lots of money, I don't care about clever I don't care about funny." By the time she gets to the chorus you are anxious to hear what she has to say and then she says simply "I'm being taken over by the fear."
"I Could Say" One of those brilliant break up songs that takes you back in time in your own memory, not one of those I'm so sad times either. One of those empowering moments where you walked away from someone who was bad for you, you knew it, and you were better for it. Lily tells the story beautifully.
"Who'd Have Known" It's a great song about the beginning of a new relationship. You know, that great time in the very beginning when you can't get enough of each other. "You're quite affectionate in public, in fact your friend said it made her feel sick." "Today you accidentally called me 'baby'".
"Him" A theological conversation. Comical, yet serious. Genius.
"It's Not Me, It's You" is out in North America on February 10th. BUY IT. It's fantastic, it's amazing, it's nothing short of what I had hoped for.
